Southern Claw

Southern: Moving back

Claw: One-handed grab to the wrist

Attack

The Ideal attack requires that your opponent starts in front of you. Their right hand reaches out and grabs your left wrist.

Defense Pattern

1. Right Step Back toward 6:00 into a Left Neutral Bow Stance while circling your right hand (palm in) clockwise, under, and to the outside of your opponent's right wrist. At the same time circle your left hand (palm in) and counterclockwise toward your chest.

2. Circle your right hand counterclockwise creating a fulcrum that ends in a Wrist Lock to your opponent’s right wrist.

3. Pivot into a Left Reverse Bow Stance (facing 12:00) and Pull the opponent’s right wrist.

4. Pivot into a Left Transitional Neutral Bow Stance and deliver a Left Outward Elbow to your opponent's right lower ribcage.

5. Continue to pivot into a Left Forward Bow Stance and deliver a Right Heel Palm to your opponent’s right radial nerve followed immediately by a Right Two-Finger Eye Poke to your opponent’s right eye.

6. Perform a Left Front Crossover and Cover Out toward 6:00.
