Countering Talons

Countering: Retaliate, a series of rapid strikes

Talons: Two-handed grab to the wrist or wrists

Attack

The Ideal attack requires that your opponent be in front of you. He first grabs your right wrist with his left hand. He then steps forward with his right leg and grabs your right elbow with his right hand attempting an arm drag.

Defense Pattern

1. Deliver a Left Hammering Forearm to your opponent's right radial nerve.

2. Left Step Forward (just to the outside of the opponents right leg) into a Left Neutral Bow (facing 12:00). Your left arm continues its motion ending with a Left Vertical Punch to your opponent's chin.

3. Pivot into a Left Forward Bow (facing 12:00) with a Left Pressing Check across the top of both of your opponent’s arms as you deliver a Right Vertical Punch to your opponent’s sternum

4. Right Step Forward into a Right Transitional Cat Stance as your left hand contours up your opponent's chest and becomes a Left Thrusting Outward Knife Hand to your opponent's throat. At the same time bring your right hand to your right ribcage palm up.

5. Continue your Right Step Forward into a Right Neutral Bow Stance buckling the inside of your opponent's right knee and deliver a Right Heel Palm to your opponent's chin. Your left hand reverses its previous motion and becomes a Left Positional Check.

6. Perform a Right Front Crossover and Cover Out toward 6:00.
