Instructor Bio
Jeremy Rose is Mr. Pilch’s senior-most student and one of the American Institute of Kenpo’s most dedicated and versatile Senior Instructors.
Jeremy began his martial arts journey at the young age of five under the direct guidance of Andrew Pilch at the American Kenpo Karate Academy (AKKA). Even as a child, he displayed exceptional aptitude and a strong-willed nature. During his high school years, this energy was channeled productively when he was inducted into the teaching staff — it quickly became clear that he had a true passion for teaching.
After graduating high school, Jeremy continued instructing Kenpo Karate programs at local middle and elementary charter schools in Tucson. At just 19 years old, he was appointed as a full-time Kenpo Karate instructor for BASIS of Tucson, teaching Physical Education as part of their curriculum.
Today, Jeremy is one of AIK’s most sought-after mentors. His deep knowledge of the system, combined with his approachable and patient demeanor, makes him an invaluable advisor to both students and fellow instructors. As a Program Director, he has played a key role in refining and editing the AIK curriculum.
Jeremy has been actively involved in tactical sparring since his adolescence and possesses strong experience in boxing, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, and mixed martial arts. His competitive spirit and ability to push his training partners make him an exceptionally valuable and challenging partner for those seeking high-level growth.
In 2020, alongside Mr. Kalos, Jeremy took on the responsibility of running AIK’s Tactical Sparring program. Together they develop class plans and training regimens to help students effectively apply fundamental principles in practical, tactical ways. Mr. Pilch continues to participate and assist as needed.
Virtually raised within Mr. Pilch’s school, Jeremy is deeply honored to be part of the American Institute of Kenpo community and remains committed to carrying forward its mission with excellence.
